Il Concorso Internazionale Pianistico “Premio Mauro Paolo Monopoli”  è dedicato al giovane pianista   Mauro Paolo Monopoli
(Barletta 19 – 7 – 1975       Genova 3 – 8 – 1996 )
Alta figura d’artista, di raffinata sensibilità, brillante, entusiasta e con un temperamento sempre cordiale, pur colpito da una incurabile leucemia, continuò strenuamente lo studio del pianoforte fino al termine della sua breve esistenza, risultando vincitore di vari Concorsi Pianistici e raccogliendo entusiastici successi nei vari recital tenuti, grazie a un inimitabile gusto del suono e del fraseggio e a un perfetto dominio dei mezzi tecnici ed espressivi.

REGOLAMENTO 
1) Bando di Concorso
Il 24° Concorso Internazionale Pianistico “Premio Mauro Paolo Monopoli” Restart Edition 2021, organizzato dall’Associazione Musicale “Cultura e Musica – G. Curci” di Barletta, in collaborazione e col patrocinio dell’Amministrazione Comunale di Barletta, del Ministero della Cultura – Dipartimento dello Spettacolo, della Regione Puglia e del Nuovo Imaie si svolgerà con selezioni on line dal 20 al 23 agosto 2021 e con semifinale e finale in presenza nel Teatro Comunale Curci di Barletta dal 30 settembre al 3 ottobre 2021.
Il Concorso è aperto a pianisti di ogni nazionalità nati dopo il 1° gennaio 1985 e non oltre il 1° gennaio 2005.

2) Finalità
Il Concorso Internazionale Pianistico “Premio Mauro Paolo Monopoli” si propone di sviluppare la cultura pianistica in tutto il mondo, fornendo la possibilità ai giovani pianisti di confrontare il loro pensiero musicale e di avviare una carriera musicale professionale.

3) Programma di esecuzione – Video – Calendario

\r\n

Prova Eliminatoria on line (sarà trasmessa on line e valutata nei giorni dal 20 al 23 agosto 2021)
Programma a libera scelta, di durata non superiore a 30 min. e non inferiore a 25 min.
I Concorrenti dovranno inviare un link di un video contenente la propria esecuzione, con i seguenti requisiti:
-Si possono inviare video registrati a partire da gennaio 2021.
-Le mani e il viso devono essere visibili durante la registrazione, come anche la tastiera e i pedali.
-Non è consentito alcun taglio né unire sequenze nei video inviati.
-Il video può essere realizzato con videocamere, cellulari, tablet e con sistemi professionali di registrazione.
-Il video deve essere postato su YouTube ed impostato come ‘Pubblico’ o ‘Non in elenco’ .
-Il video deve essere intitolato come segue:

Prova Semifinale live – max 15 selezionati (Teatro Curci 30 settembre – 1 ottobre 2021)
Programma a libera scelta di durata non superiore a 30 min. e non inferiore a 25 min.
(possono essere eseguiti gli stessi brani proposti per la Prova Eliminatoria)

\r\n

Prova Finale – Recital Pianistico live – max 6 selezionati (Teatro Curci 2 -3 ottobre 2021)
Un Recital Pianistico a libera scelta, di durata non superiore a 50 min. e non inferiore a 45 min.
(possono essere eseguiti anche gli stessi brani proposti per la Prova Eliminatoria e/o Semifinale).

4) Giuria e Valutazione
La Giuria sarà formata da rinomati musicisti italiani e stranieri.
Non possono far parte della Giuria maestri che abbiano avuto rapporti didattici con i partecipanti nei due anni precedenti il Concorso o che abbiano rapporti di parentela fino al terzo grado con gli stessi.
La Prova Eliminatoria on line sarà valutata con un “Sì” o con un “No”.
Non più di 15 concorrenti potranno accedere alla Semifinale.
I concorrenti selezionati per la Prova Semifinale dovranno essere tutti presenti alle ore 10,00 del 30 settembre presso il Teatro Comunale Curci a Barletta per la Cerimonia Inaugurale e l’estrazione dell’ordine delle esecuzioni.
La Prova Semifinale sarà valutata con votazione segreta in centesimi, con media aritmetica ed esclusione del punteggio più alto e più basso.
Non più di 6 Concorrenti potranno accedere alla Prova Finale.
Per la Finale la Giuria procederà ad una votazione segreta in centesimi, con media aritmetica ed esclusione del punteggio più alto e più basso.
Il Presidente ha la facoltà di arrotondare i punteggi.
Fra i partecipanti alla Finale, i Premi verranno assegnati secondo l’ordine del punteggio conseguito.
Il Primo Premio Assoluto è indivisibile e sarà assegnato al concorrente che otterrà il punteggio più alto e non inferiore a 98/100; il 2° Premio a chi otterrà un punteggio di almeno 94 /100 e il 3° Premio a chi otterrà un punteggio di almeno 90/100.
Al termine di ogni prova i risultati saranno resi pubblici.
I primi 3 classificati dovranno esibirsi nella serata Finale pubblica al Teatro Curci con un Programma a scelta di 15 minuti, per l’assegnazione del Premio del Pubblico.
In caso di mancata assegnazione del Primo Premio, il Premio Nuovo Imaie verrà assegnato al concorrente meglio classificato.

-1° Premio Assoluto:
Tour di 6 Concerti del valore complessivo di 10.000,00 Euro (inclusi i costi organizzativi) offerto dal Nuovo Imaie e 2.000 Euro e Diploma offerti dalla Buzzi Unicem – Stabilimento di Barletta

-‘Young Artist Special Concert Prizes’: due Premi di 500 Euro, dedicati alla memoria di Arturo Benedetti Michelangeli, offerti dal m° ing. Luca Dimiccoli assegnati ai due più giovani concorrenti semifinalisti, che otterranno un punteggio non inferiore a 85/100 per la realizzazione di due Concerti organizzati dall’ass. Curci

-‘Audience Prize Diploma’ al pianista che otterrà il maggior numero di preferenze del Pubblico al Concerto Finale del 3 ottobre 2021 presso il Teatro Curci.

Diploma di Semifinalista e Borsa di Studio di 100 euro offerti dalla Buzzi Unicem

Ogni Premio sarà soggetto a ritenuta fiscale di legge.
Tutti i premi saranno pagati entro 1 mese dalla fine del Concorso con bonifico bancario.

Per ogni video inviato l’Associazione Cultura e Musica – G. Curci, l’Associazione si riserva il diritto esclusivo di:

Nessun compenso potrà essere preteso dai concorrenti per tali utilizzi.

8) Regole Finali.
L’iscrizione al Concorso implica l’incondizionata accettazione del presente Regolamento.
Per ogni controversia è competente il Tribunale di Trani.
Per qualsiasi disputa che insorga, farà fede il testo italiano originale e la Legge italiana.

The International Piano Competition “Mauro Paolo Monopoli Prize”nis dedicated to the young pianist Mauro Paolo Monopoli
(Barletta 19 – 7 – 1975        Genoa 3 – 8 – 1996)
High artistic figure, with a refined sensitivity, bright, enthusiastic and of cheerful and friendly disposition, even though he was injured by an incurable leukaemia, he courageously kept on with piano studies all his life. He won several Piano Competitions and obtained enthusiastic professional qualifications during his piano recitals, thanks to an incomparable sound and phrasing and for a perfect control of piano technique and an extraordinary feeling.

RULES

\r\n

The 24th International Piano Competition “Mauro Paolo Monopoli Prize” Restart Edition, organized by the “Cultura e Musica – Giuseppe Curci” Music Association and sponsored by the the Barletta Town Administration, the Italian Ministry of Cultural – Music Department, the Apulia Region and the Nuovo Imaie will take place with preliminary stage on line from 20th to 23rd August, 2021 and with live semifinal and final stage at Curci Theatre, Barletta from 30th September to 3rd October 2021. The Competition is open to pianists of all nationalities born after 1st January 1985 and not later than 1st January 2005.

2) Purpose
The International Piano Competition “Mauro Paolo Monopoli Prize” try to increase the piano culture all around the world, giving a chance to the young pianists for comparing their musical thinking and for starting a professional musician career.

\r\n

3) Repertory – Video –  Schedule

\r\n

Preliminary Stage on line (it will broadcast and will be evaluated from 20th to 23rd August 2021)
A programme of your choice, no longer than 30 min. and not less than 25 min. in duration.
Candidates must send a link of the video where they perform their programme.
The video must have the following requirements:
-You can submit videos made anytime from Jan 2020 and later.
-The hands and the face should be visible during the recording, as well as the keyboard and pedals.
-Cutting and merging multiple takes is not allowed.
-Video can be made with consumer cameras, camcorders, mobile phones, tablets, as well as professional equipment and setup.
-Your videos must be posted on YouTube and set to either “Public” or “Unlisted”.
-Your video must be titled in the following way:

Semifinal Stage live – max 15 selected (Curci Theatre 30th September – 1st October 2021 )
A programme of your choice, no longer than 30 min. and not less than 25 min. in duration.
( you can play the same pieces of the Preliminary Stage)

Final Stage – Piano Recital live – max 6 selected (Curci Theatre 2nd – 3rd October, 2021)
A piano recital of your choice, no longer than 50 min. and not less than 45 min. in duration.
(you can play even the same pieces performed during of the previous stages)

4) Jury and Evaluation
The Jury will be composed of well-known national and international musicians.
If a member of the Jury had teaching relations during the last two years, or relationship (until the third degree of kinship), he can’t take part in the Jury.
“Yes” or ” No” will judge the Preliminary Stage.
Not more than 15 contestants can pass to the Semifinal Stage.
The contestants selected for the Semifinal Stage must be present on 30th September 2021 at 10.00 a.m. in the Curci Theatre in Barletta for the opening Ceremony and the drawing of the performance order.
For the Semifinal Stage the Jury will make a secret centesimal voting with arithmetic mean and with the exclusion of the lowest and highest scores
Not more than 6 contestants can pass to the Semifinal Stage.
For the Final Stage, the Jury will make a secret centesimal voting with arithmetic mean and with the exclusion of the lowest and highest scores.
The President may round the results up or down.
The Prizes will be awarded to the Finalists following the order of score they will get.
The Absolute First Indivisible Prize, in any case, will be awarded to the candidate who will get the highest score and not less than 98/100; the 2nd to the Finalist who will get not less than 94/100 and the 3rd to the Finalist who will get not less than 90/100.
The results will be announced after each Stage.
The1st, 2nd and 3rd Prize winners must play during the Final Concert a free choice programme no longer than 15 minutes, for the Audience Prize.
If it will not be the 1st Prize winner, the Nuovo Imaie Prize will be assigned to the contestant who will gain the best score.

-1st Absolute Prize:
Concert Tour of 6 Recitals of a total value (included organization costs) of 10.000 Euros offered by Nuovo Imaie and 2000 Euros and Diploma offered by Buzzi Unicem – Barletta Factory

1500 Euros offered by Megamark Onlus Foundation, Diploma and 2 Concerts

-Special Prizes ‘Young Artist Concert Prizes’ offered by prof. ing.Luca Dimiccoli :
two Prizes of 500 Euro, dedicated to the memory of Arturo Benedetti Michelangeli, assigned to the two youngest Finalist contestants, who will gain a score not lower than 85/100, for 2 recitals organized by Curci Association.

-Special “Audience Prize” Diploma for the finalist who will get more votes from the audience for the Final Concert that will take place on 3rd October 2021 at Curci Theatre.

For each contestant who will pass to the Semifinal Stage, not winners of any other Prize:

For each contestant who will pass to the Final Stage, not winners of any other Prize:

Each prize will have the tax deduction at source and will be payed by bank transfer not later than 1 month after the end of the Competition.

7) Copyright
For any performances that take place during the Competition or during the prize winners concerts held by the Organizer, the Organizer reserves the right to:
– Broadcast it via television, radio, or Internet.
– Record, reproduce or sell it via CD, tape, record etc.
No payment can be required from the contestants for this utilization.

8) Final Rules
The enrolment to the Competition entails the unconditional acceptance of the present Regulations.
For any controversy the Trani court is competent. Any disputes that arise due to this outline will be resolved according to the original Italian text and Italian Law.
