Sheila Arnold

Born in India, she was a scholarship holder of the German National Academic Foundation and the Märkische Kulturkonferenz, received numerous other awards at the German Music Competition, was selected as a soloist and duo partner in the national selection “Concerts of Young Artists” and as a soloist in the list of artists of the German Music Council. Her interpretations have been shaped not only by her childhood lessons with Prof. Heidi Köhler and her studies with Prof. Karl-Heinz Kämmerling, which she completed with the concert exam in Hanover, but also by her encounters with musicians such as Ferenc Rados, Dénes Zsigmondy, Pepe Romero, Elisabeth Leonskaja, Claude Frank and Lev Naumov in all their diversity. In particular, her exploration of the phenomenon of language enriches her search for non-verbal communication of human and artistic content. Her work with the actor Bernt Hahn has been of particular importance to her in this respect. Sheila Arnold is involved in the international Raphsody in School project initiated by Lars Vogt, which brings world-famous musicians into schools, and is a professor at the Cologne University of Music and Dance.
