David Ciavarella

DAVID CIAVARELLA Started singing as a child and was a boy soloist in the Sistine Chapel Choir in the Vatican. He later went on to study Piano and Singing at the Santa Cecilia Conservatoire in Rome, graduating in singing under Gianfranco Rivoli in 1992. In 1995–96 Mr. Ciavarella participated in advanced performance courses at the Santa Cecilia Conservatoire in Rome under Sesto Bruscantini. He has also followed courses at the Mozarteum in Salzburg, Austria under Richard Miller. In 1993 Mr. Ciavarella embarked on a career as a tenor soloist. He has a very wide repertoire which extends from Sacred Music of the 18th century to 19th and 20th Century Opera (Elisir d’amore, Traviata, Madame Butterfly etc.). Mr. Ciavarella has performed with various orchestras and participated in numerous internationally renowned festivals including the “W.A.Mozart International Festival” in Rovereto and the “Benevento Città Spettacolo” as well as performing as a soloist in operatic concerts and tours in Japan, England, Austria, Spain, The Netherlands and Hungary. Since 2000 David Ciavarella has been regularly invited by several Japanese musical associations to teach courses of Singing Technique and Interpretation in Tokyo, Sendai, Osaka. Following the success of these courses, David Ciavarella started teaching also in Italy, the United Kingdom and Australia. At present David Ciavarella combines voice teaching with his international singing career.
